What if all of human history has been playing one continuous melody, and that melody belongs to Jesus? If we look at Scripture closely we will discover a pattern that repeats from Genesis to Revelation: slavery, liberation, and renewal. We see this pattern first in the Garden of Eden when sin enslaved humanity, followed immediately by God's promise to send a deliverer who would crush the serpent's head. This same melody crescendos in the book of Exodus, where God's people cry out from Egyptian bondage and God responds with miraculous power to free them and then patiently works to get the slavery out of them. But here's the stunning revelation: every story, every genealogy, every covenant promise has been pointing to Jesus all along. When Christ walked with two discouraged disciples on the road to Emmaus, He opened their eyes to see that the entire Old Testament was about Him. Over the course of this series we will see how His life perfectly mirrored the Exodus pattern—born under a tyrannical king, fleeing to Egypt, baptized in the Jordan, tested in the wilderness for forty days, and ultimately becoming the Passover Lamb whose blood covers us. The melody that's been playing since creation reached its climax when Jesus was torn apart on the cross, keeping an ancient promise God made to Abraham: that He would maintain relationship with His people even if it cost Him His life. Now we're invited to tune our ears to hear this song playing not just in Scripture, but in every corner of our lives. The same God who liberated Israel from physical slavery offers to free us from the bondage of sin itself, and renews us in His presence. This isn't just ancient history; it's the ongoing story of God's relentless love pursuing us.
