How To Transplant Onion Seedlings Into Containers [Container Gardening ]

Transplanting onion seedlings into containers is a rewarding process that allows you to grow fresh onions even in limited space. Here’s how to do it: Prepare the Container: Choose a container with good drainage holes. It should be at least 6–8 inches (15–20 cm) deep to accommodate the onion bulbs as they grow. Select the Soil: Use a nutrient-rich, well-draining potting mix. Adding compost or organic matter will provide the seedlings with the nutrients they need. Seedling Preparation: Gently remove the seedlings from their original location, being careful not to damage the roots. It's best to transplant them when they have 3–4 leaves. Planting the Seedlings: Make small holes in the soil, spacing them about 4 inches (10 cm) apart. Place the seedlings into the holes, ensuring the roots are covered, but don’t bury the stems too deep.
