Float fishing for Tench is undoubtedly the best way to catch this quintessential British fish. Easily recognisable with their green colouration, paintbrush tail and teddy bear red eyes, they are a true spring and summer favourite and on an early morning nothing beats watching a float, dip and dither amongst a a plume of pin prick bubbles. Every season, as the weather warms, we always put some time aside to try and catch a few Tench on the float, and in this video that was the aim. We headed to a beautiful local gravel pit, located a short drive from home, which is home to a good population of Tench, and while typically the most effective way to catch them is on method feeders and bite alarms, this time around we thought we'd try what we believe is 'the best way to catch' them and that is on the waggler. To find out exactly how we got on and if we caught our target species, watch the latest episode from the waters edge. As usual we hope you enjoy it and any feedback is always much appreciated.
