Spring skiing on Vogel, Slovenia - April

Vogel ski resort is located in the Triglav National Park above Lake Bohinj. It is extraordinary location and magnificent natural beauty. From the foot of the mountain you are lifted to the altitude of 1535 m above sea level, from where you can enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the Triglav mountain range. When in full operation there are 22 km of not demanding pistes in total. Spring skiing on Vogel proved to be a complete success. Beautiful sunny day, lots of snow (officially 140 cm), not too hot, in short ideal for skiing. The ski resort is open until 2 pm in the spring (April), but even that is more than enough, considering that after noon the snow starts to slow down the skis and prevents normal skiing. A small number of ski slopes have been opened, but there are no crowds and no waiting. This time we visited Vogel on weekdays.
