#himalayan411 #maintanancetips In this video, I restart my Royal Enfield Himalayan (BS4) after it had been parked for more than 6 months. One of my biggest concerns before restarting the motorcycle was the possible impact of E20 fuel on BS4 bikes. Ethanol-blended petrol can sometimes create deposits or affect components when a bike stays unused for a long time. To avoid any damage, my mechanic and I decided to take a few precautionary steps before starting the bike. 🔧 Work Done Before Restarting ✔ Fuel Tank Cleaning The entire tank was cleaned and flushed to remove old petrol and prevent any issues caused by E20 fuel. ✔ Battery Replacement The original battery had completely died after months of inactivity, so we installed a new Exide 9Ah battery. ✔ Engine Oil Change We replaced the oil with Valvoline 15W-50 engine oil to ensure proper lubrication before starting the engine. After completing these steps, the Himalayan started flawlessly, which shows how important proper preparation is when reviving a motorcycle that has been sitting for months. 🏍️ What This Video Covers • How to restart a motorcycle after long storage • E20 fuel concerns for BS4 motorcycles • Fuel tank cleaning before starting a stored bike • Battery replacement for a long-parked motorcycle • Engine oil change before restarting • Tips for Royal Enfield Himalayan owners I’ve also shared a few additional maintenance points that my Himalayan still needs, along with some thoughts about my other motorcycle — the Honda SP 125 — and how it compares in day-to-day ownership.
