This was part of the Robert Shaw Choral Institute held at Furman University in Greenville. Robert Shaw died January 25, 1999, exactly 7 months after this concert. Therefore, it is one of the last of his public concerts and the last to perform these classic choral works. Here is a listing of the works performed: Mass in G Minor - Vaughan Williams Requiem - Herbert Howells Selections from A.M.D.G. - Benjamin Britten Choral Dances from Gloriana - Benjamin Britten Selections from Sacred and Profane - Benjamin Britten Rejoice in the Lamb - Benjamin Britten Sometimes I Feel Like A Moanin' Dove - Shaw/Parker Amazing Grace - Shaw/Parker My God Is A Rock - Shaw/Parker I had the opportunity to be a part of the Festival Singers for this concert and I was Minister of Music at FBC Greenville at the time. I recently found a VHS recording of the concert and had to share. I have the original SVHS tape.
