The countdown to the Gambian presidency has begun. In ten months, Adama Barrow and Ousainu Darboe will once again face off at the ballot box. While Barrow’s approval ratings are in freefall, he still maintains a lead over a fractured opposition. However, the UDP isn't discouraged. In this edition of The Verified, Lamin Manneh argues that poll data shouldn't be accepted hook, line, and sinker. He said the UDP is actively negotiating a broad coalition, but with a caveat: they are moving past the 'primary model' of 2016.
