KURAMA TO KIBUNE | Kyoto's prettiest mountain hike & BEST ramen

Hello hello and welcome to another vlog! We spent the day exploring Kurama and Kibune, located in northern Kyoto, and it was one of the most beautiful day trips (and one of my favorites as well)! We started with the Kurama to Kibune hike, a scenic mountain trail that connects Kurama-dera temple to Kifune shrine. The hike was definitely steep (and the way down was LONG), but the mountain views, greenery, and little stops along the way made it feel like we were walking through a movie set, and SO worth it. There are a ton of popular restaurants along the road after the hike, but we went to Katsura, which ended up being one of the best ramen spots we had in Japan. If you’re planning a Kyoto itinerary and looking for a peaceful escape from the city, I could not recommend Kurama / Kibune enough; this was a perfect nature-filled day trip.
