TransPennine Express unit 802 211 captured between Leeds and York on a Newcastle bound service, traversing through the suburbs of Leeds before stretchings its wheels on approach to York operating with its diesel engines for this section of the route from Manchester Victoria due to the lack of electrification. 100mph is the maximum speed 802/2s can reach without wires in normal service, the only time this is acheivable between Sherburn-in-Elmet and York towards Newcastle only, due to how ridiculously slow these trains accelerate under diesel power. This is achieved somewhere around the 15:20 mark. The engines and motors are quite difficult to make out in this clip, I tried to amplify the sound as much as possible without distorting the noise and the AC of the train being too loud, and this was the best compromise I could do.
