Members of Punjab farmers’ union — Rakesh Tikait, Jagjeet Singh Dallewal, Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Manjeet Singh Rai, Harender Singh Lakhowal and others — in a press conference held late night, alleged that the government wanted to create disturbance in their peaceful agitation. The youth was presented at the press conference by farmer leaders. The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan).
