Just as a kindergartener can divide a pizza into pieces, the LineOnAreaCalculator transformer in FME is now capable of dividing polygons on the basis of linework. But this is more than simple clipping. FME keeps track of which lines split which polygons (and vice versa) and generates the perfect geometry to reflect that information.
