A derivation of the correction factors needed to account for the fluid dynamics in pipe flows that are most significant when taking measurements of volumetric air current using a vane anemometer commonly seen in amateur videos associated with vacuum cleaners. Apologies for the re-post; added a section on new techniques to directly and correctly measure airflow without a lab. Note: I probably underestimated the volume in these measurements. More likely had nearer 11 l/s of flow rate and so only about 20% lower than the anemometer. It's still a more direct method to measure airflow. To ensure you have an accurate and known volume, it's better to build a large box and fit a large bag into the inside walls of it.
