Live tour of the West Australian Space Radar [rebroadcast]
On 31 January 2023, we commissioned our radar site in Western Australia: the West Australian Space Radar (WASR). This site consists of two phased-array radars, equipped with S-band technology. WASR is key to increased surveillance of the Southern Hemisphere in the Indo-Pacific region, an area with a lack of coverage and visibility. Follow LeoLabs' Craig Trumbull (director, radar deployment group) as he gives a live tour of the site alongside Victoria Heath (marketing & communications specialist). During this tour, he answers questions about the radars' shape, construction, site selection, and LeoLabs' plans for further expansion of its global network. Enjoy! P.s.
