Buttonwillow Raceway Park CW13 with SoCal Drivers Club 5/10/2024 Third track day out with the E46 and second time at Buttonwillow. The day ended up being a lot hotter than expected so conditions were less than ideal. By about 10AM ambient temps were already in the high 70s and only rose throughout the day until 90 degrees. First time getting proper laps with the V730s and I'm really enjoying it as a seat time tire. Pace is definitely slower compared to the RE71RS scrubs I used in January. Consistency is where this tire shines. I had put 8 hot laps back to back and barely felt some grip falloff on the last lap (ambient temp during this session was in the low 80s). The car didn't have a single hiccup the entire day. Car performed perfectly in the heat and drove back home as if nothing happened.
