In continuation of our course for general chemistry, we will discuss the basics of ideal gases. This is important as well for our lectures in Physical Chemistry and Thermodynamics. This is also discussed in STEM classes. Ideal gases are also used even in unit operations topics and chemical engineering principles / calculations. Whenever we are dealing with gases in our problems, chances are we are going to consider the ideal gas state. We will be discussing the ideal gas laws in the succeeding lectures. We will talk about Boyle's Law, Charles' Law, Gay Lussac's Law and the combined gas law. There is much to discuss about ideal gases, so let us give you a brief introduction about it.
