Leave your answer in the comment section! Enough of the dad joke setup and onto the description. Since it's inclusion in the series, Rajang has been the great filter for many hunters. In 2nd gen, the broken hitboxes plus the health bar shredding attacks of G-Rank made Rajang a fifty-fifty. Screw up and you'll most likely cart. Here in 4, the fight was more fair, old gen a.i. aside. So how'd the devs up the ante? Apex form. Without the drive stone, you are forced to attack the front and tail. The tail is a bit tricky to hit reliably, so it is likely you'll bounce on the hind legs or body. Then there is the front of the beast, which is the most dangerous location to be at. This is on top of it being able to supercharge it's forearms, which adds another layer of nonsense. No mind's eye and drive stone on cooldown? Have fun hitting the face and hoping it doesn't smack you sideways trying. It gain's a new attack in Apex, which is a super giant rock that it hurls in the same direction it was facing. It causes tremor when it makes contact with the ground, so the there is no free attack without the tremor resist skill. It's not as much as a threat as I initially thought it was, so that's a bonus. Other than aforementioned changes, it's your typical rajang fight. Me being the forgetful fogey that I am, I brought the element wystone, which is completely useless on the equiped LS, so it took much longer to knock Rajang out of super frenzy. Such is life. All in all, the fight wasn't as hard as I though it would be. I feel like Rajang is actually the easiest Apex to hunt after Seregios. Until the next session.
