THE CANUM – A 40 MILE ADVENTURE ALONG A WONDERFUL WELSH WATERWAY, FOLLOWING THE MONMOUTHSHIRE & BRECON CANAL. This ULTRA MARATHON is a challenge like no other...the relentless flatness of a canal run challenges not only your fitness, your attitude but also your mind to complete this 42 mile ultra-marathon. Taking in beautiful Welsh country side as we meander along the Monmouthshire canal the weather wasn't looking good for the race. Storm Kathleen was threatening the event, just to add to the jeopardy. This is the first in a 6 part slam/drama of ultra running. The PEGASUS SLAM!!! 6 ultra marathons within 6 months. The events take place the first Saturday of every month and take you along the beautiful beaches to the majestic mountains of Wales. Follow me through these unique, challenging events...
