After our failed attempt at a holiday in Ischia (earthwuake anyone?) I decided to give it another go and go visit my friend Celine for a few days in North Tuscany. We decided to meet in Florence. I caught the Circumvesuviana from Piano di Sorrento to Naples station and then a train to Florence (3 hours). We were hungry when we arrived so headed straight to the Mercato Centrale which is a big food hall in the centre of the city that offers lots of different food choices. We spent some time shopping in the centre and then headed over to the river of sunset aperitivi on the rooftop bar of the Hotel Palazzo Luccese, booking required. Want more of life in Positano?
