BENIDORM OLD TOWN in Spain is where we are today as we explore this holiday destination's fantastic old town area, starting on Levante Beach and heading along the beachfront bars and restaurants and then up into Old Town Benidorm. Benidorm's Old Town, known locally as "Casco Antiguo," offers a charming and authentic escape from the city's modern high-rises and bustling resort areas. Unlike the lively, fast-paced atmosphere of the new town, this historic quarter provides a glimpse into Benidorm's past as a tranquil fishing village. Visitors can wander through a labyrinth of narrow, cobblestone streets lined with traditional whitewashed houses adorned with vibrant flowerpots and ornate balconies. The area is a hub of Spanish culture, with quaint shops, independent cafes, and traditional bars, creating a cozy and relaxed ambiance that invites leisurely exploration. At the heart of the Old Town lies the iconic "Balcony of the Mediterranean" (Balcón del Mediterráneo), a stunning viewpoint perched on a cliff that separates Benidorm's two main beaches, Levante and Poniente.
