I hope you will enjoy this new format, and it was also pleasant to record outside for a change! These are the books I bought in July (some of them I actually got in August...): The Classical World (Folio Society) - Robin Lane Fox. Collected Ghost Stories (Oxford University Press) - M.R. James. Gothic Stories (Oxford University Press) - Arthur Conan Doyle. Dead Souls (Everyman's Library) - Nikolai Gogol. Plays, Prose Writings and Poems (Everyman's Library) - Oscar Wilde. The Master and Margarita (Everyman's Library) - Mikhail Bulgakov. Poems: Percy Bysshe Shelley (Everyman's Library: Pocket Poets) Poems: Lord Byron (Everyman's Library: Pocket Poets) I'm rather disappointed in the Oxford Press books. They are not even close to Everyman's Library in any way when it comes to quality. And I can only imagine that the durability will be pretty awful, the pages already look wrinkled and they smell of that awful acidic smell. But that being said, I'm also surprised that Everyman's Library do not have sewn bindings on their pocket poets editions. I never thought they would use regular glued perfect bindings. So overall I'm not that excited with what I got in July (this is only considering the quality of the books and not the content itself. I will always talk about the binding, design and paper on this channel when I do these videos). I am however very pleased with the Folio Society edition of "The Classical World" and also Gemma Gary's limited edition 'The Devil's Dozen' which is published by Troy books. I really love the look of the new black editions series.
