The Stanley E. Foster School of Engineering, Innovation, and Design (Kearny EID) is a public high school located in San Diego and within San Diego Unified School District. EID has been in operation since 2002 (formerly as Construction Tech Academy) offering students an innovative state of the art high school program and is one of Southern California's last remaining high school machine shops. EID offers students a number of college credit, articulated and industry recognized courses in the pathways of Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Design. Dan teaches Engineering and Manufacturing at the School of Engineering, Innovation and Design(Kearny EID) located on the campus of Kearny High School where he attended highschool himself. Before becoming a career technical education teacher, he spent his time in industry working in the fields of aerospace manufacturing and environmental engineering. When Dan isn’t in the classroom or with his family, he is mentoring students in designing and building robots or tinkering with old Volkswagens.
