Coron, Palawan September 19, 2024 Fulfilling the commitment to enhance the economic welfare of agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) and boost the nation’s agricultural productivity, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. joins the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) once again to distribute Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) this time in Coron, Palawan on September 19, 2024. The distribution benefits 1,217 ARBs from the 1,234 E-Titles issued and registered under the DAR’s SPLIT (Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling) Project, with an aggregate area of 2,921.96 hectares. An additional 53 CLOAs are also distributed totaling 4.8277 hectares of land in Narra, Palawan which is a resettlement area. The DAR sees the distribution as a breakthrough after all the challenges that hindered the acquisition and distribution of the Busuanga Pasture Reserve (BPR), a vast tract of agricultural land in the Island Municipalities of Coron and Busuanga. Now, these agricultural lands are finally being handed over to landless farmers, including 19 agricultural graduates and 50 rebel returnees. Another highlight of today’s event that demonstrates the ceaseless efforts to foster rural development in agrarian reform communities and enhance ease of transport, President Marcos Jr. and DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III are turning over key farm-to-market roads (FMRs) to respective proponents. These projects include San Nicolas to Sitio Caniogan FMR, Sitio Nalbot to Arado FMR, and Busuang to Caruray FMR. These FMRs are poised to improve connectivity between farming communities and local markets, directly enhancing the quality of life and economic activities of around 1,075 ARBs in the First Legislative District of Palawan. *** Connect with RTVM Website: http://rtvm.gov.ph Facebook: www.facebook.com/presidentialcom and www.facebook.com/rtvmalacanang YouTube: @RTVMalacanang Tiktok: @RTVMalacanang
