Captured on real hardware. 2. Sonic Jam was mainly thought to be a project to win over the Japanese market. The original Mega Drive versions did not sell well there, so the more popular Saturn platform was seen as a great way to try again. It did go on to sell well there, earning it a Satakore reissue. 3. The Japanese Sonic commercials are freaky. Well worth a watch or two. 4. It's really hard to prove, but I swear the Saturn version of these games do not run as well. I feel hitching and slowdown frequently. 5. Sonic Team's only other fully developed product for the Saturn was Burning Rangers in 1998. 6. Sonic World used a modified Nights Into Dreams engine. Sonic Team actually began making it into a full game, but the project was moved to the Dreamcast shortly thereafter. 7. I don't think this game could have helped the Saturn even if it was available at launch. Sega needed something graphically impressive, and Genesis ports simply wasn't gonna impress the masses.
