It is worth taking an overnight bus from Tokyo to Osaka? 🚍 I took a trip to the @lostbarjapan in Shibuya, Tokyo, to celebrate their one year anniversary. And instead of booking a hotel afterwards, I decided to just take an overnight bus back to Osaka instead. The bus is called the VIP Liner Plumeria. It left Shinjuku at 11:25pm and arrived in Osaka at 7:20am. It cost me about ¥8000 (I assume prices vary) It is a women-only bus. There is a toilet onboard, and the seats are all separate. We had three seats per row and two walkways 💺. There was also privacy curtains and a cover you could pull down over your head, so it actually got quite dark and quiet. The only this is, you can’t pick your own seat (they’re allocated) and the walkways are quite narrow… But the bus stopped 3 or 4 times, so I just used one of the astoundingly clean public toilets at the service areas instead of trying to squeeze my way through to the one on board. The seats can recline quite a way back. They were comfier than an economy seat on the plane, but not as comfy as the bullet train 🚄. I arrived in Osaka, took a Power Nap, and was kinda functional for the rest of the day. But what do you think? Would you take this bus?
