In Part 2 of the Kyarkoti journey, the real challenge begins. After leaving Gangani campsite, we faced broken trails, monsoon landslides, and the raw reality of alpine trekking. The 2025 monsoon had damaged multiple sections of the route, and beyond Gangani the trail was completely washed out. Kyarkoti is not just about beautiful meadows and endless valleys. It’s about carrying your own load. Cooking at high altitude. Pitching and unpitching tents. And knowing when to stop instead of risking everything. With nearly 10 KM planned for the next day, we chose awareness over ego and camped near a shepherd hut at Gangani. This is not a luxury trek. This is real alpine camping in one of the most unexplored valleys of Uttarakhand.
