Cabbage 'N Mash were born out of a mutual love for the 60's English band the Small Faces. Dale Crover (drummer for The Melvins) and Bob Hannam (director of the documentary The Colossus of Destiny - A Melvins Tale) long ago planted seeds to one day record a couple of their songs. With plenty of time on their hands due to Covid restrictions they decided to go in the studio in the summer of 2021 and see what could happen. Dale, already an accomplished guitar player with his band Altamont and his solo work, would play guitar, Bob would handle the lead vocals, Toshi Kasai would play keyboards as well as engineer the recordings at his Sounds of Sirens studio. Who would play drums? Easy, call up Clem Burke from Blondie. And bass? Ask Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols. Both big Small Faces fans they jumped onboard and Song Of A Baker and Donkey Rides, A Penny A Glass were recorded in just a couple of days. Video produced and edited by Alicia Kasai.
