Up until now, this channel has been almost entirely focused on resin 3D printing. But if we're really going from zero... to 3D, eventually the workshop had to grow. Recently someone reached out and asked if I'd be interested in designing a prototype for a product idea they're working on. That opportunity actually covered the cost of something I've been wanting to add to the workshop for a while. So today, we're unboxing my first FDM printer, the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2. Resin printing opened the rood to detail and miniatures, but filament printing opens the door to larger and more functional designs. This is the next step in the journey. And the workshop just got bigger. Next up we might try reprinting the failed Racko card holder in PLA - and I may even livestream the design process for the prototype project.
