Siang Aoo Defeats Rani FC 2-0 in Central Solung Festival football Tournament 2024 final. Ipak Diyum Pasighat sept 10:-The final match of the Solung Festival Celebration Football Tournament 2024 organised by DFA East Siang District concluded yesterday at the Pasighat Outdoor Stadium with a thrilling contest between the Independence Cup 2024 champions, Rani FC, and Siang Aoo FC. The event was graced by 38th East Pasighat MLA Sri Tapi Darang as the Chief Guest, along with business entrepreneur Sri Govind Sarkar and former APSU General Secretary Sri Tobom Dai as Guest of Honour and Special Guest, respectively. The dignitaries, accompanied by other notable figures, shared their experiences of the Solung Festival and emphasized the importance of sports in promoting health and well-being among the youth. They encouraged young people to stay fit through sports, stressing the age-old saying, "Health is wealth." They also voiced concerns about the rising issue of drug use among youth, suggesting that sports can be a positive outlet to avoid such harmful habits. The guests highlighted the government's increasing support for aspiring athletes. In the much-anticipated final, thousands of spectators witnessed an intense battle between the two strong teams. Siang Aoo FC took the lead in the 28th minute of the first half when Sri Tarh Gangte, wearing jersey number 30, scored the first goal. Rani FC made several attempts to equalize but was unable to break through Siang Aoo's defense. In the 45th minute of the second half, Panam Tasung, jersey number 9, netted the second goal, securing Siang Aoo FC’s victory with a 2-0 scoreline. The winning team, Siang Aoo FC, was awarded a cash prize of Rs 80,000, sponsored by the Central Solung Festival Celebration Committee, along with a trophy sponsored by Ward No. 6 Councillor Sri Oyin Gao. The runners-up, Rani FC, received Rs 40,000 in cash, sponsored by businessman Sri Govind Sarkar, and a trophy sponsored by Bogong Kitchen. Individual accolades included the Golden Boot, which was awarded to Siang Aoo's Panam Tasung, along with a cash prize of Rs 5,000 sponsored by Sri Kaling Darang, former Deputy Councillor. The Golden Gloves, awarded to goalkeeper Sri Jagom Loyi, also came with a Rs 5,000 cash prize, sponsored by Er. Kaling Dai. The Player of the Tournament, Sri Nitromil Pangging of Siang Aoo FC, received a Rs 5,000 cash prize sponsored by Sri Tayon Dai. The match was a fitting conclusion to the tournament, with spectators leaving the stadium after a thrilling and memorable game.
