What the Blizzard of 2026 did (SE Mass + Brockton) A historic nor’easter (“Blizzard of 2026”) slammed Southern New England late Sunday night into Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, dumping 2–3+ feet in parts of Southeastern Massachusetts and leaving behind dangerous travel, buried cars, and major cleanup issues. Multiple outlets reported widespread impacts like plowing challenges, blocked streets, closures, and power problems in hard-hit areas. For your video specifically: Brockton was reported around ~31 inches from the storm, and local officials urged people to stay off the roads while crews tried to dig the city out. Regionally, totals varied a lot—Logan was reported just under ~17", while towns south of Boston posted much higher numbers; some of the largest totals were reported in places like Whitman (~33.7") and other South Coast / South Shore communities. (Some reports listed extreme South Coast amounts into the upper 30s/40"+ range in certain communities.) Brockton, Massachusetts got crushed by the Blizzard of 2026 (Feb. 23, 2026) — and I went for a drive to show what it looks like AFTER the storm. This nor’easter buried parts of Southeastern MA with 2–3+ feet of snow, and Brockton was reported at around 31 inches. The result? Narrow lanes, uneven plowing, slush ruts, iced-over intersections, and brutal side streets that still feel like a snow obstacle course. ⚠️ Safety note: This drive was done carefully and slowly with full attention on the road. Conditions can change fast—don’t attempt unnecessary travel during storm recovery. If you’re from Brockton / the South Shore, drop a comment: How bad was your street?
