Tchaikovsky: Nutcracker Suite

🎄Happy Holidays everyone! 🎄Since this year we’ve been unable to perform our annual performances of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve decided to (why not?) come up with my own version of it. I’m very happy to present you this new “suite” danced by some of my beautiful colleagues, which I cannot thank enough for all the hard work (but mostly fun!) that we’ve been putting together for over a month. A big thank you goes to Piotr Bednarczyk and Remy Lamping for agreeing to help me with the filming and for their great recording and editing skills; without them it would have been impossible to make this project come to life. Here you can find the list of dances which will be shown and their respective performers: “Divertissement from the Second Act” Spanish Dance: Rosa Pierro, Rinaldo Venuti Oriental Dance: Daria Majewska with Aleksandra Dudzik, Oliwia Górecka, Manon Kolanowski and Michela Zanzottera Chinese Dance: Diogo de Oliveira, Kilian Smith Trepak (Russian Dance): Barbara Derleta, Paulina Magier, Cezary Wasik Pastorale (Pas de Trois): Elisabetta Formento, Yurika Kitano, Laurence Elliott. The recordings happened in December 2020 at the ballet studios of the Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa (Warsaw), thanks to the big help of Piotr Bednarczyk, Remy Lamping and Cezary Wasik. I hope this will bring you as much joy as it did to all of us! Let’s try to stay positive even during these uncertain times...
