Lee's Positions Of Flexion Chest Workout: • CHEST Training for Mass - Killer Workout f... Chest Stretching Routine To Do At The Gym: • CHEST Stretches To Do After Your Workout This video was shot at Platinum Gym in CBS, Newfoundland. You can check out their facebook page at: / platinumgymcbs Just the other day I received a question from one of my subscribers asking for some exercises that he could do to improve "Pectus Excavatum", which is a genetic deformation of the sternum and rib cage. Pectus Excavatum causes a concave or sunken chest appearance. This condition is usually considered a cosmetic issue, but depending on the severity, it can place pressure on the heart and lungs and hinder proper cardiovascular function. There are medical procedures that can be done surgically, where you'll get a brace inserted into the rib cage to push out the sunken sternum. In extreme cases of pectus they maybe required, but for minor cases, you can often treat it with regular chest exercises. One of the best things you can do to improve the look of sunken chest is to simply gain muscle in the chest and torso area. The more muscle you have, the less noticeable the sunken chest will be. In addition to gaining muscle in the chest, you also need to stretch the muscles of the chest and rib cage. This should be done very frequently, preferably on a daily basis, or at least every other day. In this video you'll get a complete home chest stretching routine that you can do with minimal equipment. Now realize that there are no quick fix solutions for treating Pectus Excavatum. What ever approach you take it going to take time, as in several weeks, months, or even a full year before you notice significant improvements. But if you stick with it, you can make progress over time.
