If not then, under a blacklight test it'll show up too. If the signature has been on there for awhile, you might run into the issue where the clear coat hasn't aged as much in that area so you'll have a shadow of what you erased too! If Les Paul signed your new guitar - best to just leave the initial "to Bob" alone. You might not like what you're left with after removal attempt! Don't buy a signed guitar thinking you'll be able to 100% remove it. Buy it if you enjoy it as-is only is my suggestion!
