Here I grind dried out eggshell to add to my vermicompost mix. I have air dried these, but you could put them into a warm oven until it's brittle. Eggshell is a wonderful additive to the worm farms, adding calcium to the mix as well as giving the worms a grit course to assist them with the process of moving organic material through their system. It is also alkaline so is a wonderful Ph buffer when adding acidic material like coffee grounds or when there may have been citrus in the vermicompost.
