Juče je na vojnom poligonu Nikinci prikazano modernizovano borbeno vozilo pešadije BVP M-80AB1 ili novi BVP M-80A. Vozilo je dobilo kupolu nove konstrukcije sa topom 30 milimetara i automatski bacač granata istog kalibr kao i spregnuti mitraljez kal. 7,62 mm. Kupola ima elektro-mehaničko podešavanje azimuta i elevacije. Vozilo ima novi sistem za upravljanje vatrom koji omogućava dejstvo topom do 2 km daljine.
