So at the end of each expansion they go through a whole bunch of balance changes to fix some of the more overpowered pets, and only occasionally do they fix them mid expansion, but in the case of legionnaire murky, and the blood boil pet to an extent, these pets had one ability that was so overpowered, they just straight up removed it from the game, rather than try to balance it. which is the first and only time since, that they've done that in pet battles..
