Dangerous Days [Blade Runner Fan Short • Amon Tobin • Vangelis • Plaid]

This is my 10 minute fan short to Blade Runner. I started with some inspirational music from Amon Tobin (Adventures In Foam Intro) and Plaid (the tracks "To" from Greedy Baby and "Marry" from Spokes) and combined these with a mix of music from the 25th Anniversary re-release of Vangelis' monumental score for the film. I wanted to centre on some of the core themes: the claustrophobic city, the eye & watching, photographs and memories and of course identity and what it is to be human. Apart from a few random shots from the Outtakes Cut of the film from the 5-disc box set and some DVD menu elements, everything else comes from The Final Cut. I tried to stick to the footage as much as possible and let it tell the story but there are occasions where I had added some simple effects or altered a shot or two to best fit in with the flow.
