This is the date that a dividend has been declared. It will go over how much the dividend will be and when the other dates will hit. Now onto the Ex-div date. This one is really important, because if you don't own the companies stock on or after this date, you will not receive a dividend. Just make sure to buy the stock at least the day prior the ex-date and you'll be fine. The record date is next. This is the day that the share holders earning a dividend will be recorded. It'll be two trading days after the ex date. Finally the pay day.
