With the creation of the iconic, enduring and cherished polar bear Coca Cola commercials, Ken’s place in history is secure, but that isn’t enough for Ken. He has become a celebrated documentary filmmaker, touching on subjects that few know anything about. Ken Stewart – Film and TV producer and director, Ken Stewart created Coca-Cola’s enduring animated Polar Bear campaign. When asked to develop an innovative commercial for Coca-Cola, creator Ken Stewart thought about drinking Coke at the movies. As a puppy, Mr. Stewart's Labrador Retriever had resembled a polar bear. Mr. Stewart saw his dog, thought about polar bears and how they would go to the movies, and the idea for "Northern Lights" was born. In the commercial, the polar bears watch the aurora borealis and drink from bottles of Coca-Cola. It would not be an exaggeration to say the rest is history. Somehow, Ken also spent time as Senior Vice President, Director of Creative Advertising for Columbia Pictures as well as Vice President, Creative Services for Paramount Pictures.
