They met at the office, where Taras works as a programmer, and Darina started working as a designer two years ago. From the very beginning, they felt a strong connection. As people say, it was love at first sight. At first, they talked a lot online, exchanged messages, called each other every evening, and shared all their news. Then, Taras invited Darina on a date to a beautiful French restaurant. After dinner, they decided to take a walk along the riverfront, sipping coffee and laughing a lot. The whole time, they held hands and couldn’t stop smiling. When they reached the Lovers' Bridge, Taras embraced Darina, and they kissed for the first time. That kiss sparked a real firework of emotions. From that moment on, Taras and Darina were inseparable. They dated for a year, went on romantic outings, traveled together, and eventually moved in with each other. This year, on February 14, Taras planned a special surprise for Darina—a romantic boat ride along the river. Inside the boat, treats and champagne were already waiting for them. They sailed along the riverfront, enjoying the beautiful scenery. As they approached a small bridge, Taras said, “Look, do you remember this place?” “Of course!” Darina replied. “This is Lovers' Bridge, where we had our first date and our first kiss!” “That’s right! It’s our special place! And this is exactly where I want to ask you something very important…” Taras said. He reached into his jacket pocket, pulled out a small red box, opened it, and revealed a beautiful gold engagement ring. “Will you marry me?” Taras asked, his voice trembling. Darina couldn’t believe her eyes—she felt overwhelmed with happiness. It was so romantic! Tears appeared in her eyes as she answered, “Yes! I want to be your wife!” Then, Taras gently slid the ring onto Darina’s ring finger. The two lovers embraced, kissed, and continued celebrating their special day. That’s how they got engaged, at the place of their first date, on Valentine’s Day! Now, Taras and Darina are officially engaged. They are planning their wedding and a honeymoon somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains. May their married life be filled with happiness! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Subscribe to our channel to learn more about Ukraine, Ukrainian culture, and, of course, to learn the Ukrainian language in VERBA school! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ❤️ Phrase Book "Intimate Ukrainian" with relationships-related vocabulary: https://www.verba.school/product-page... 💛 Ukrainian ebooks by Nika Minchenko (Ukrainian readers): https://www.verba.school/shop 💛 Paperback "Fidget goes to look for his mom" on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Fidget-Goes-Lo... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 💙 Ukrainian Individual Classes in VERBA school, sign up for the trial lesson here - https://www.verba.school/lessons or email me at [email protected]. 💙Ukrainian Group Classes: https://www.verba.school/group-classe... 💙 VERBA Instagram: / verba_school 💙 VERBA website: https://verba.school/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you want to support my channel you could use: 💛 YouTube Membership: / @verba_school 💛 My Patreon account: / nika_minchenko 💛 PayPal: [email protected] #storiesinukrainian #ukrainianlanguage #learnukrainian #travelukraine #verbaschool #ukraine #speakukrainian #ucraniano Nika Minchenko, Your Ukrainian language teacher, VERBA school
