Wir Eilen Mit Schwachen Doch Emsigen Schritten is a duet for soprano and alto from Cantata "Jesu Der Du Meine Seele", BWV 78, it is my own version of the piece. I 've been always keen to perform Wir Eilen... solo , but have failed to find the original piano scores to do this. Cantatas are the vocal compositions with an instrumental ( normally , strings and organ ) accompaniment , purposefully written for some festive occasions. The voicings in the Bach's works are enourmously rich and complex, so making a piano rendition of an originally ensemble piece is a challenge for any interpreter.
