We begin our tour with the company's DDR5 CUDIMMs and CSODIMMs. The company's baseline DDR5 CKD lineup sees CUDIMMs and CSODIMMs tick at DDR5-6400, with 16 GB density, CL52, and 1.1 V. The XPower Storm RGB is a premium gaming PC memory series, which comes in 16 GB and 32 GB single modules, and 32 GB (2x 16 GB) and 64 GB (2x 32 GB) kits. Speeds range between DDR5-6000 to DDR5-8000. These support XMP and EXPO. The XPower Zenith is a mid-range kit, which comes in the same kind of densities as the XPower Storm RGB, but with speeds of DDR5-5200, DDR5-5600, and DDR5-6000. The XPower Cyclone is the company's enthusiast-segment DDR5 OC memory series. The non-CKD (UDIMM) variant comes in speeds of up to DDR5-8000, with the CKD (CUDIMM) variants pushing further, up to DDR5-9200. Moving on to storage, and we see the company's XPower XS90, an enthusiast-class M.2 Gen 5 NVMe SSD, offering speeds of up to 14 GB/s sequential reads, up to 4 TB of storage, and is based on a 6 nm controller (likely the Maxiotek DRAMless). There's also a value Gen 5 SSD in the form of the US85, which comes in 1 TB and 2 TB capacities, offering sequential reads of up to 10.3 GB/s and up to 8.6 GB/s sequential writes. Silicon Motion at the 2025 Computex showed off its latest SSD and flash storage controller products. The star-attraction is the company's new SM2504XT, a DRAMless client NVMe SSD controller. The chip is built on the TSMC 6 nm process, with a power draw of just 2.4 W when active, and 1 mW when idling. The controller features 4 flash channels with 16 control elements, each with up to 3600 MT/s transfer speeds. It supports 3D TLC and 3D QLC NAND flash types from popular vendors. The reference SSD based on the SM2504XT was shown offering maximum sequential read speeds of 11.5 GB/s, and max sequential writes of 11 GB/s; with 1.7 million IOPS 4K random reads, with up to 2 million IOPS 4K random writes. Next up, is the SM8366 enterprise SSD controller designed for PCI-Express Gen 5 x4 host interface across popular form-factors such as U.2, E1.S, and E3.S, including some extreme capacity drives. A demo drive showcased in the Silicon Motion booth had the NAND flash components spanning two PCBs that are interconnected by a ribbon cable. There are other interesting onboard devices such as DRAM cache, and capacitor-based power-loss protection.
