Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum-Mynarski Memorial Lancaster at EAA AirVenture 2024 Oshkosh

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario has an Avro Lancaster bomber called the Mynarski Memorial Lancaster, also known as VeRA. The museum purchased the aircraft in 1977 for around $10,000 and a team of volunteers spent 11 years restoring it before it took flight again in 1988. The Lancaster is one of only two airworthy Lancasters in the world and the museum offers flight experiences in the aircraft, including personalized tours, vintage aircraft flights, and the ability to fly in a Fairey Firefly or Westland Lysander as well. The Lancaster has also toured Canada and the UK. This video was taken at EAA's AirVenture 2024 in Oshkosh Wisconsin.
