Bhagwan Swaminarayan, revered as the Supreme God by millions of devotees worldwide, was born in 1781 in the village of Chhapaiya, near Ayodhya in northern India. From a very young age, he exhibited extraordinary spiritual wisdom, compassion, and divine qualities that set him apart from others. At the age of 11, he renounced his home and began a seven-year journey across India as a yogi named Nilkanth Varni, seeking to understand the spiritual landscape of the country and to find a place where true devotion and dharma were practiced. Eventually, he settled in Gujarat, where he revealed his true identity as Bhagwan Swaminarayan and initiated a powerful spiritual and social movement that would transform countless lives. As the Supreme God, Bhagwan Swaminarayan established the Swaminarayan Sampradaya to restore and uplift the values of dharma (righteousness), gyan (knowledge), vairagya (detachment) and bhakti (devotion). His teachings emphasized the importance of worshipping God as an Ekantik Devotee, living a morally upright life, and serving society with compassion and humility. He inspired reforms that promoted non-violence, discouraged superstitions and harmful rituals, and uplifted women, the poor, and the marginalized. Recognizing the need for a strong spiritual foundation, he initiated more than 3000 saints—many of whom were scholars and ascetics of the highest caliber—and built beautiful temples that became centers of worship, learning, and community service. Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s divine presence and spiritual guidance continue to resonate today through the global reach of the Swaminarayan tradition which uphold and spread his teachings. Through satsang (spiritual fellowship), seva (selfless service), and a deep commitment to moral and spiritual values, his legacy lives on in the hearts of devotees across the world, serving as a timeless source of inspiration, peace, and divine connection. This elegant Dadra, 'In Nenako Labh...' beautifully emcompasses the Sarvopari Upasna of Bhagwan Saaminarayan and also elucidates the true grandeur and absolute glory of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. 'Sadguru Premanand Swami's Dadra is not just a magnificent creation of an authentic semi-classical form but it is indeed a genuine documentation of His boundless Love, devotion and Sarvopari Nistha towards Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
