Buitenlust, an awesome model railroad in O Scale.

Buitenlust is a highly realistic scale model of the branchline Den Dolder - Soest - Baarn in The Netherlands. The station of Soest and the former terminal of Baarn have been reconstructed in O Scale, right down to the smallest detail. The model railroad depicts the situation in the 1960s. Buitenlust is a free interpretation; it is above all a model of how it could have been. The real railway line was outfitted with overhead wires in 1948, while the model is diesel operated. The lemonade factory of Vrolic never existed in reality, but it is based on the nearby Prodent factory in Amersfoort. The sand quarry did not exist like this either, but symbolises the various sand quarries in the region. Hardly any models of buildings or rolling stock are available in this scale. Almost everything you see in this movie are unique hand-built models.
