Monitor The Band: The band formed in 1990 with six members. We released our maiden album that year namely Monitor and it was a huge success selling more that 2.5 milion copies. 1991 it was declared the best seller audio album of band. Moreover, it was the highest selling album of any Band as of today. Events: In 1995 Coca-Cola had organised a competition amongst all the band of the 90's and it was called "Coca-Cola Band music Award". Spontaneously we participated in the event and won the award beating many famous bands at that time. 1997 we participated in the open air concert held at Banani (Shaheen College Ground) along with famous bands like, Souls, Ark, Feelings (Now Nagar Baul), Warfaze, we opened the concert and ended up with a big applause. Approximate crowd was 5000+ We performed our last gig in 2000 at Dhanmondi Rabindra Sarobar along with Vikings, Nova, Shironamhin. We started our work for new album Adhar. Which was eventually released in 2000 in the banner of Disco recording. We launched our album Adhar with a live performance. Albums: So far we have released 4 albums. Our last album was released in 2000 namely Adhar. After that we were out of the scene due to non availability (out of the country) of band members. Recent Activities: However, we have reunited and reform the band in early 2017. After a few rehearsals we have successfully performed in SATV and Desh TV live show on March 17 and 31, 2017 respectively. The response was positive.
