On Wednesday, February 18, DC Councilmember Zachary Parker, alongside various DC-based organizations and community members came together on the steps of the John A. Wilson building to hold a rally to save the Child Tax Credit (CTC). The proposed Child Tax Credit legislations was passed by CM Parker last year, and would serve to lift many of DC's most vulnerable neighbors out of poverty. The CTC is a well-established social safety net that decreases rates of child poverty and lifts the economic floor for everyone.
