Join me as I tour an untouched original homestead inside of Grand Teton National Park. Everything was left as is and nobody knows about this place. Log Cabins, barn, garage & other buildings. Hello, I'm Digital Indy and welcome to the latest video in my series called Abandoned in Wyoming. I am visiting more than a dozen abandoned dude ranches, vacation properties and homesteads inside Grand Teton National Park built before the park existed. We're talking early 1900's. Many of these operated as private inholdings for decades and then eventually were sold to the National Park. Many of them are time capsules into western life for the early part of the 19th century. These are not tourist destinations and you won't find most of these mentioned or marked on maps. I think you're going to be amazed at what you see. If you like these videos be sure to subscribe and join me on more than a dozen abandoned places in Wyoming. Be inspired if you are interested in Off Grid Homesteading. Petroglyphs & Pictographs I hand make pictographs and petroglyphs on real stone slabs. Unique, one of a kind art pieces. Check them out here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MountainRoo... Abandoned Wyoming Playlist • Abandoned in Wyoming My videos are not short and I tend to talk a lot and sometimes slowly. I am a historian and technology geek and I'm genuinely fascinated when I visit these places. So, I share a stream of observations and questions that come up in my mind as I experience them. I'm not always right in my observations and I'm eager to learn from you in the comments if I'm incorrect. I don't cut out a lot of video from these trips as I want you to experience the places just as if you were exploring alongside me. Please understand that I will not disclose the locations or names of these places unless they are a designated historical spot on park maps. I take care not to disturb these places or damage them and leave them as I found them. Why should we protect and preserve historical places? 1. The heritage of a place is what sets it apart from all other places. 2. Preserving places remembers the past while preparing for the future. 3. Preserving places saves the culture of the persons who came before. 4. Culture is a matter of pride. 5. Unique historical and cultural sites give places a sense of identity. Please visit historic and prehistoric places with respect. I hope you enjoy my videos.
