Dr. Clayton Moliver of Houston Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (www.myHPRS.com) describes his breast reduction patients as the “happiest patients in a plastic surgeon’s practice.” Watch as he details the procedure itself and the life-changing results his breast reduction patients experience. Ready to feel lighter and more confident? Learn more about breast reduction, here: www.myHPRS.com. "Breast production patients are the happiest patients in the class of surgeon's practice. They come in with back pain and neck pain, grooves in their shoulders, rashes under their breast. They can't exercise. They're embarrassed to exercise. Young women say “Look up here, my eyes are up here.” because they guys are all looking at their breast and so it's a social stigma. It's problematic for physical exercise. It causes postural problems. Woman can't wait to put their bra on, and they can't wait to get their bra off. That doesn't seem to be happy place for it. It's a very happy operation. Technically how it's done is of course it's under anesthesia. It's usually about a two hour operation. It's haptic ally painful. We don't use drains. I've never had to transfuse a patient for a breast reduction surgery. The operation is done by opening up the skin envelope of the breast. The nipples stays on their breast in 99% of breast reductions and we sculpt down the breast tissue. I used what's called a central technique so a woman can still breast feed after works of surgery. She's young woman I guess it, most of breast feed layer is perfectly fine. You should maintain normal nipple sensation that won't be an issue in 99% of patients as well. At the end of procedure the skin envelope after we've sculpt down the breast tissue is re-wrapped around the skin. Around the breast tissue you'll have a scar that goes around to areola vertically outward and sometimes underneath as well in fact usually underneath. You'll be in a surgical bra afterwards. No drains, usually not very painful at all and you’re back to work in three or four days, and back to exercising in three or four weeks. You'll feel lighter, you'll be in a smaller bra, that bra, that neck and shoulder will-- pain will usually just go away entirely. It's a nice operation for the right candidate."
