Traditionally there are various methods for chemo.You can give by mouth it goes through the stomach ,half of it lost in digestion Remaining half absorbed through the blood and through blood it goes to various organs.Finally very less chemo reaches cancer cells.You cant take large amount of medicine then it will burn intestine causing complications.If you give through IV chemo you can kill more cancer cells at the cost of bone marrow being suppressed.Both these methods can not carry high dose of chemo to peritoneal cavity.If you give chemo through fluid with temperature small amount will be absorbed in to the blood so side effects will be less.more will be supplied to the tummy to kill more cancer cells.
