Budapest, Hungary: Zoo & City Park

We had a fun first day in Budapest and so happy we chose to spend it at the zoo. The kids always love a good zoo and this one was one of our faves. The zoo was huge, beautiful, and the animals looked so happy and healthy. We spent almost an entire day here and although it was winter, we still saw so many cool animals. The zoo even has a really awesome playground for the kids to let off some energy. Unfortunately, we didn't get to check out the inside of the thermal baths on this trip to Budapest, but when the kids are a bit older we plan on coming back. The building was beautiful from the outside though. The castle at the city park was so cool to walk around. It is completely free and such as relaxing time. There's an adorable river, courtyards, and bridges to check out. Going into the day we thought there would be a Christmas market at the city park. However, we didn't see one and maybe that's because we were here a bit early in the market season. But we did get to see the HUGE ice skating rink as well as the even LARGER line for it around the block. We didn't get any videos but it looked like it would be a blast for the whole family. Definitely the largest ice rink we saw of all the 12 Christmas Market cities we have visited. We are so excited to check out some of the Christmas markets Budapest offers as well as the Central Market hall and Buda Castle so check back next week for another video. Thanks for watching!!
